The iNiS Wiki's silly mistake...

I've seen a big mistake at the wiki and thought I would point it out. Some of the Ouendan's articles state that they were from "The Cheer Squad" and "The Encouraging Nobility". What's the problem? These aren't official names.
These names were from the Let's Play video of the game. While it had some interesting fun facts, all of the dialogue he made up in the game was completely made to be humorous. The Cheer Squad nickname is a dead giveaway, because Ouendan MEANS Cheer Squad. The LP'er creatively made up the name from the Asahi Town Ouendan's flag, which has an EN. That circle actually is an O with an EN inside of it, so the flag is actually referring to Ōen (cheer). If that name was the true name, it would also be true that they came from Britishland. Just thought I would point it out that they're not The Cheer Squad and Encouraging Nobility.

Quite a slip-up, there. That LP had very little truth to it, so I don't know how they could trust it for the time of day. For example, the romance novel stage is most definitely not about a dating blog. Though seeing how this is a Japanese game, perhaps I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, I don't really think that it was lying, more of an entertaining LP. Sort of like Animal Crossing Let's Play on the official site. The average user would know he was joking just by how he describes it. (Saying he knows kanji and jumanji) But yeah, people shouldn't use that in reference. I do, however like the name "Encouraging Nobility". It's just so cleverly awesome!

As an actual editor of the wiki (Everything needs some love, you know,) I just have to say that I am aware of the liberties that the Let's Play took, and I was planning on making pages for the teams that used their actual names. Near everything else would probably be from official data. If it really bothers you guys that much, you could edit the pages yourself. They're all red links anyways.

Well, making pages for them is one thing, but linking them in an official article is another. I agree it's not a big deal, but I was just wanting to point it out. I WOULD have fixed it myself, but that would probably end up being the only contribution I would make to the site.

Wow, you learn something new everyday, heh. Here I was going around calling them the Encouraging Notability! So, what is the official names then? Are they just as awesome, I sure hope so.

Well, we mainly refer to them as the Yuuhi Ouendan and Asahi Ouendan, respectively. Though they have little epithets, being called the "Kokou no Ouendan" (Aloof Ouendan) and the "Kouketsu no Ouendan" (Noble Ouendan). Hope that helps you.
